Webcam Video Classes

The Idiom Site is going to trial an online teaching system.

What will it do?

  • Schools and individual teachers will be able to give classes online.

  • Students can have classes from their computer, anywhere in the world.

How will it work?

  • Schools
Schools will be able to run classes with their own endorsed teachers: on the premises, or with the teachers giving classes from home.
The school will take a percentage of the payments and gain all-important exposure.
From an admin panel, schools will be able to view and manage their teachers' accounts.
  • Individual Teachers
Teachers will be able to run classes online from home. They will take a percentage of all payments.
From an admin panel, the teacher will be able to view and manage their account.
  • Students
Students will purchase credits and use them on a per minute basis.

How will the payments work?

  • Payments made to the site will be shared between shared between us and the teacher. Where a school is using its own teachers, the school will take a further cut.
The exact percentages are presently under review.

What are the requirements?

  • The teacher or school requires a high-speed Internet connection and a webcam. The student should also have a high-speed connection. It is also highly recommended that the student has a webcam but it is not required. Needless to say, a functioning microphone is also necessary.
No extra software is required, only an Internet browser.

What shall I do now?

  • Bookmark this site and contact me in the form above so that you don't miss out when the system comes online.
